General Transportation Service

Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority—Wave Transit operates public transportation for the City of Wilmington, including service to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington campus and New Hanover County after a merger of Wilmington and New Hanover Transit Authorities. It also offers free downtown trolley, paratransit services, and dial-a-ride transportation. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Fixed-route, general adult fare is $1.00 per one-way trip. Senior citizens, people with disabilities and students ride for half fare with proper identification. Children younger than five years of age ride free. Multiple-ride discount passes are available, and exact fare is required. For more information, contact:

South East Area Transit System (SEATS) offers 16 vehicles providing safe, reliable and convenient rural general transportation for county residents of Robeson County to school, work and employment. Funding received through the Community Transportation Programs provide transportation to the general public who are not human service clients. A fare of $1.50 per trip is charged to passengers who are identified as a rural general public rider. Services are provided for senior citizens, children 0-5 years of age, human service clients and the general public. Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) operates ten bus routes and two shuttle routes within the City of Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake and Fort Bragg. Hours of Operation are 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. General adult fare is $1.00 per one-way trip. Senior citizens, people with disabilities and students ride for 35 cents, with proper identification. Exact fare is required. For more information, contact:
