Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority—Wave Transit operates public transportation for the City of Wilmington, including service to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington campus and New Hanover County after a merger of Wilmington and New Hanover Transit Authorities. It also offers free downtown trolley, paratransit services, and dial-a-ride transportation. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Fixed-route, general adult fare is $1.00 per one-way trip. Senior citizens, people with disabilities and students ride for half fare with proper identification. Children younger than five years of age ride free. Multiple-ride discount passes are available, and exact fare is required. For more information, contact:

Robeson County – South East Area Transit System (SEATS) provides subscription and dial-a-ride transportation for residents of Robeson County. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Transportation services are offered to the general public at $1.50 per trip. An out-of-county medical route to Duke, Chapel Hill and VA Hospital is provided on a weekly basis. Schedules are available upon request. For more information, please contact:
