Carolina Horse Park at Five Points, Raeford, North Carolina
The Carolina Horse Park is a vision of a group of equestrian enthusiasts in N.C. who were concerned about the dwindling amount of land dedicated to the sport. The Carolina Horse Park Foundation was created with the purpose of preserving open space and promoting premier national and international equestrian competition. It is located on 250 acres of beautiful farm land in Hoke County between Aberdeen and Raeford, about 12 miles south of Southern Pines. The Carolina Horse Park, a permanent site for national and international equestrian competitions with Dressage, Steeplechase, and Eventing is the only one of its kind in North Carolina. It could one day, rival Kentucky’s Horse Park or Virginia’s Horse Center. Events in 2009 are listed in the chart below.
