Foreign Trade Zone 214

NC Southeast is home to Foreign Trade Zone #214, a “duty-free” zone for businesses. The FTZ program allows U.S.-based companies to defer, reduce or even eliminate customs duties on products admitted to the zone. The zone reduces paperwork and streamlines customs procedures, lower your cost of importing.

FTZ #214 has three ports of entry and five magnate sites in the southeast region of North Carolina. The zone is mid-way between Maine and Florida, along I-95 and I-40. Rail service is throughout the zone and connects to two sea ports. In addition to the excellent transportation network, the FTZ region has a skilled workforce and customized training programs provided by the North Carolina Community College System.
