Over 75 wood products companies, employing almost

1800 people, are located in the region producing

everything from plywood to floor and roof trusses to

siding and ornamental moldings. Almost 100 other

building products manufacturers, employing over 2000

people are also in the region making everything from

roof tiles to structural steel, concrete products and

HVAC equipment.
