NC’s Southeast Region is one of the most competitive regions in the United States and the world in which to do business. It has a growing population of nearly 1.1 million people and a diverse industry base of more than 30 Fortune 500 companies. The region’s geographic location midway on the east coast provides excellent distribution access and logistics efficiencies for companies engaged in manufacturing, assembly, and retail distribution. The region boasts a three-tiered, interlinked distribution model: 1) An ‘At-Port’ location offers buildings and sites within 20 miles of the Port of Wilmington; 2) An inland location provides great access along three interstate corridors—I-40, I-95, and I-74; 3) The region offers locations in close proximity to key regional markets that include Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Columbia, SC, and Atlanta, GA.

DISTRIBUTION AND LOGISTICS ASSETS

NC’s Southeast Region is located midway on the Eastern US coast with a comprehensive sea/land/air transportation network.  The Region boasts a major east coast port connected by rail and 3 interstates, as well as 2 commercial airports. These assets, as well as a location in NC, one of the most industrialized states in the US, make the Region well-positioned for warehouse, distribution and logistics operations.
