Distribution Center to Locate in Richmond County

(Hamlet, NC) – Kenneth Robinette, Chairman, Richmond County Board of Commissioners, announced today the location of a new distribution center. The company, SRB Holdings LCC plans to build a 300,000 sq. ft building on 29 acres of land in the Richmond County Industrial Park. SRB Holdings is a distribution center for recreation products. The company will to create 150 new jobs and bring a $12 million investment to the community.
Chairman Robinette expressed his appreciation to N. C. Southeast Economic Development Partnership. He said SRB came to the county through N.C Southeast (the regional economic development marketing organization for southeastern North Carolina). Mr. Robinette also stated “we have enjoyed a long-term relationship with the partnership, and appreciate their continued assistance with our economic development efforts.”
The company official said, “The county location will allow us to provide world-class service to our customers and has the available work force and work ethic that is perfect for our company. Chairman Robinette, Jim Haynes (county manager), and Rick Sago (county director of development) embraced our company from day one and a commitment - to earn our confidence and respect and to prove that they are going to be there after we arrive – was one of the key deciding points in our selection of Richmond County.”
The other partners working with the county to make this announcement possible are Richmond Community College, the N. C. Employment Security Commission, and the N. C. Department of Commerce.
