Robeson County Welcomes Recycling Company

(Fairmont, NC) - Advanced Recovery Inc., a New Jersey based company, has chosen to locate in Robeson County. The company will occupy a 29,000 sq ft building formerly known as the Badger building. Advanced Recovery announced today their plans in located in Fairmont, bringing 30 new jobs and an investment of $175,000.
Advanced Recovery Inc., headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, is an electronic recycling company that provides services to commercial establishments. Advanced Recovery, Inc. also services private individuals who desire to recycle their used electronics, government agencies, and large corporations. In addition to their location in New Jersey, they have facilities in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New York.
Advanced Recovery Inc. started searching in July 2006 for a North Carolina location. Their search of the Internet discovered North Carolina’s Southeast, the regional economic development organization for southeastern North Carolina. North Carolina’s Southeast Marketing Manager, Steve Yost, provided additional information and arranged a visit to Robeson County. Greg Cummings, Director of the Robeson County Economic Development Commission, served as host and guide for Advanced Recovery while they visited Robeson County. In early 2007 the company visited again. In late spring the company requested financial assistance from Robeson County and North Carolina’s Southeast.
North Carolina’s Southeast agreed to provide financial assistance in the amount of $25,000 when Advanced Recovery meets their job creation of 30 jobs and investment of $175,000. Robeson County will also assist the company with an additional $25,000.
