Rubber Manufacturing Company Locates in Hoke County

Raeford, NC- Polymer Technologies, Inc. (PTI) has decided to purchase the former Hoke-Raeford Rubber Products building located at 140 School Drive in Raeford. The company which manufactures rubber products plans to relocate from California and begin operations in August of this year. PTI will employ approximately 49 people and provide an investment of $2,000,000.
According to the president of Polymer Technologies, VaKar Miniar, the company will operate two shifts in the beginning and add a third shift later. They will ship their rubber compound all across the United States.
PTI will receive a $25,000 grant from North Carolina’s Southeast Partnership (NCSE), the regional economic development organization for southeastern North Carolina, upon creation of 25 jobs. According to Don Porter, Executive Director for Raeford-Hoke Economic Development, North Carolina’s Southeast is the only source to offer a grant to the company. Porter expressed his gratitude to NCSE by saying “We greatly appreciate the role and commitment that the partnership made in assisting us in recruiting this company to Hoke County. Your office always brings value to every project and enhances our ability to get the job done.”
