Regional Profile to be Presented April 18th
On April 18th, business leaders and elected officials will be on hand when academic researchers from three universities formally present North Carolina’s Southeast’s Regional Profile for 2012. Fayetteville State University, UNC Pembroke and UNC Wilmington collaboratively produce the annual publication. This year’s presentation luncheon will take place at the Madeline Suite on the campus of UNC Wilmington.
“This year’s profile will have a lot more U.S. Census data in it than we were able to access last year,” reports William W. “Woody” Hall, a professor of economics who leads UNC Wilmington’s participation in the profile. The profile, available in both print and electronic formats, houses relevant economic, demographic, workforce and other data relevant to corporate decision-makers in the region and those considering relocation here. “It’s everything in a single document that business people need when they’re weighing expansion or relocation options,” Dr. Hall says. He and his two academic counterparts will formally present the Regional Profile to NCSE Chairman Jane Smith.
