Median Household Income in 2009 for the 13 counties of the Southeast Region was $36,448 which is 83% of the NC median of $43,754. Median Household Income increased by 12% between the years of 2003 and 2009.

Per Capita Income in 2009 for the 13 counties of the Southeast Region was $30,550 which is 88% of the NC average of $34,879.
